NanoApostle
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to our Trophy Guide for NanoApostle! This is an intense boss-rush game, where you’ll be facing six unique bosses in tense one-on-one duels. Each boss has ten challenges related to their fights that must be completed for the platinum, ranging from defeating them fast enough, to engaging with the boss’ unique mechanics in specific ways, to winning the fight without getting hit more than what the corresponding challenge allows.
Besides trophies related to boss fights, there are six training missions to clear, as well as miscellaneous trophies to unlock for interacting with the NPC Wenny at certain points. To ensure you don’t get locked out of any trophy, make sure to exhaust Wenny‘s dialogue after each boss fight. Everything else should unlock naturally as you progress through the game and read the available log files or unlock modules and skill points.
Warning: NanoApostle has a separate trophy list for PS4 and PS5. While there are no issues with the PS5 version, there are three bugged trophies on the PS4 version. Hence, the Platinum Trophy for the PS4 version is effectively unobtainable.
TROPHY ROADMAP
Step 1: Reach the Ending and clear all Training Challenges
You should first focus on beating all bosses and progressing through the game. Make sure to speak with Wenny after each encounter and exhaust her dialogue to unlock the trophy related to interacting with her.
As you progress through the game, you’ll also unlock all six Training Challenges, and you should clear them under the required time to be rewarded with skill points.
Don’t worry too much about completing challenges related to the bosses quite yet; most will become significantly easier once you’ve unlocked all modules and can fully customize your build.
Step 2: Complete all Boss-Challenges
Once you’ve completed everything else, you should go back to each boss and complete all 10 challenges for each of them. You can find a build suggestion for the hit-limit challenges below, which should also allow you to beat all bosses under the required time.
INFO & STRATEGIES
In NanoApostle, you will start out with limited module slots, with more unlocked as bosses are defeated. Many modules enhance Anita‘s strengths but introduce penalties, such as slower attack speeds or longer cooldowns. Modules require Skill Points to activate, which are earned through training missions and completing boss challenges.
In addition, there are hidden bonuses (adaptability bonuses) that can be activated by equipping modules from the same family. The required number, as well as the specific bonus itself, varies by module family.

Recommended Build
The following build is highly effective for clearing hit-limit challenges and was used to complete every fight hitless. Several modules are essential for the build to function, while others can be swapped depending on the boss and your preferred playstyle.
- Execution Thread: Light Attacks deal 65% extra damage, but reduce all Heal effect by 12s.
- Extreme Corrosion: Absorb deals 20 extra damage, but does not recover HP.
- Slash Stabilizer: Light Attacks deal 85% extra damage, but using 4 dashes within 10s renders the buff ineffective for 12s.
- Frenzied Impulse: After a successful parry, the next attack within 5s deals 25% + 6 extra damage. Stacks up to 4.
These modules are mandatory. They all belong to the Extremist Traits family, and equipping four of them unlocks a hidden perk that transforms your healing potion into a strength potion. Instead of restoring HP, the potion increases your damage output by 40% for 20 seconds.
Execution Thread and Extreme Corrosion both reduce healing effectiveness, but this drawback becomes irrelevant since your potion no longer heals. Healing should be irrelevant anyways, since you are trying to complete the battle under the hit-limit (or preferably hitless).
Don’t hesitate to dash, even though Slash Stabilizer temporarily disables its bonus; avoiding damage is far more important than maintaining the buff.
- Insta-Booster: When using Grappling Hook, Light Attack damage increases 60%.
With the exception of Destruction Points, most of your damage will come fromLight Attacks. Maximizing their effectiveness is crucial, making this module effectively mandatory.
The remaining three slots can be tailored to your playstyle. The following are strong options:
- Anchor Analysis: After 12 successful parries, the Grappling Hook can be used 1 time.
- Injury Plague: Charged melee attacks deal 1 stack of Infected (Cooldown time 7s), but 50% less Energy is recovered.
- Crumbling Corrosion: When attacking a Destruction Point, deals extra damage equal to 12 x Infected stacks.
- Deconstructive Impact: Charged attacks deal 40% extra damage to Destruction Points.
- Compression Shot: Press {Shoot Button} to use a Charged Shot, which inflicts 2 stacks of Infected for 1 Energy.
- Impulse Compressor: A shield activates when aiming. If the shield parries an attack, that shot becomes a Charged Shot.
In NanoApostle, you can parry while attacking, which enables a highly aggressive playstyle. Stay close to bosses and continuously apply pressure. Use Charge Attack parries against attacks that allow for it to amplify your Light Attack damage and uncover Destruction Points. When a Destruction Point is revealed, capitalize on it immediately. Use the Grappling Hook both to close distance and to trigger the Insta-Booster damage bonus, either after hitting a Destruction Point or when it becomes available if using Anchor Analysis.

Dominate Berserker
Complete all Challenges related to Berserker.

Berserker is the first boss in NanoApostle and as such serves as an introductory opponent to the game’s combat.
These are the ten challenges related to Berserker.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 2:30.
- Win the battle within 4:00.
- Trigger Absorb 20 times.
- Shoot Destruction Points 10 times.
- Parry 30 times.
These are the generic challenges related to Berserker, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough, reaching the second phase six times, and utilizing basic combat mechanics.
- Destroy all the charge axes and win the battle.
The charge axes are Berserker‘s main melee weapon. During one of its attacks, Berserker hurls both axes at Anita before calling them back. You can parry the axes as they are thrown out, then attack them while they are lying around to destroy them.
- Win the battle without taking any slash damage from axes.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 1 times.
NanoApostle – Berserker [No Damage]
Berserker is a hyper-aggressive melee boss built around long combo strings and constant forward pressure. The fight is designed to punish panic dodging and teaching the player the usefulness of parrying and staying aggressive.
Berserker attacks with multi-hit combos and offers very little downtime. The melee attacks come out fast but are still readable if you don’t panic. To keep the fight short, it is recommended to learn the parry timings of the melee attack combos, which allows to stay close and agressive.
When Berserker jumps and creates expanding shockwaves, focus on evading the attack. It is not worth risking getting hit. The same applies to the laser. With the recommended build, the first phase should be over in the blink of an eye.
Phase shift:
During the second phase, melee combo chains become longer, but the strategy shouldn’t change. Parry attacks if you know the timing, dodge away if you don’t want to take the risk. Focus on evading the expanding AoE circles and lasers which, depending on your build, are an excellent opportunity for a Charge Attack.

Defeat Commander

Dominate Commander
Complete all Challenges related to Commander.

Commander is the second boss in NanoApostle, and focuses on a ranged playstyle supported by adds.
These are the ten challenges related to Commander.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 2:30.
- Win the battle within 4:00.
- Trigger Absorb 6 times
These are the generic challenges related to Commander, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough, reaching the second phase six times, and utilizing basic combat mechanics.
- Destroy 20 hover cannons.
- Win without destroying any controlled hover cannons.
- Hack into controlled hover cannons 6 times.
Commander will peroidically release hover cannons onto the battlefield. These three challenges will most likely need to be done in different runs, since hacking into them does not count as destroying them.
You can hack the cannons by shooting them with your ranged attack.
- Win without taking damage from projectiles.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 1 times.
NanoApostle – Commander [No Damage]
Commander is a mobile boss that mixes direct attacks with summoned defensive and offensive entities, attempting to split the player’s attention.
The boss mixes direct ranged attacks with adds that force your attention away from Commander itself. As the fight starts, Commander will surround itself with protective turrets that must be destroyed before Commander can be damaged. Commander will re-summon these defensive shields periodically throughout the fight.
Make sure to parry the projectiles hurled at Anita, and don’t risk getting hit by the red lasers. Instead, focus on finding a safe spot and wait for the attack to end. Ideally, the first phase will end before Commander has a chance of summoning any turrets.
Phase shift:
During the second phase, summons become more frequent if Commander is given a chance. The goal is to finish the fight before you get overwhelmed by adds, which take away your attention from the boss. Parry the projectiles and make sure to dodge the charge attacks and lasers. Go all-in during summon animations to take advantage of the extended damage window and end the fight quickly.

Defeat Molter
Defeat Molter for the first time.

Please refer to Dominate Molter.

Conquer Molter
Complete 5 Challenges related to Molter.

Please refer to Dominate Molter.

Dominate Molter
Complete all Challenges related to Molter.

Molter is the third boss in NanoApostle, an enemy that focuses on direct damage and fiery AoE explosions.
These are the ten challenges related to Molter.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 3:30.
- Win the battle within 5:00.
These are the generic challenges related to Molter, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough and reaching the second phase six times.
- Reflect metal projectiles with Charge Attacks 10 times.
After shooting out two metal chains that divide the battlefield (they can be destroyed with Charge Attacks), Molter will shoot two volleys of three projectiles each. The second volley can be reflected with a Charge Attack.
- Hit a submerged Molter 20 times with any attack.
- Parry all the submerged dash attacks and win the battle.
Molter has an attack sequence where it’ll bury itself in the ground and perform four charge attacks before resurfacing with a final, fifth charge. These charges can be parried, or countered with a Charge Attack (which counts for both challenges).
- Parry tar balls 15 times.
- Destroy all the tar bombs and win the battle.
Tar balls are black projectiles that, if not parried, explode on impact, covering an area in black oil.
Tar bombs, on the other hand, stay on the battlefield for a brief moment, and can be destroyed. If left alone, they’ll explode and cover an area around them in black oil.
Follow-up fire-based attacks by Molter can set these oliy areas aflame.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 2 times.
NanoApostle – Molter [No Damage]
Molter is an aggressive enemy that uses AoE attacks and fills the arena with lingering fire zones, limiting safe movement.
Most of Molter‘s attacks can be parried, allowing for an aggressive approach; this is true for the AoE quacke attacks signaled by an extending wide / long cone. Stay close to Molter during these, opting to parry the purple symbol attack with a Charged Attack if you know the timing. This will open Molter up for massive damage, allowing you to end the first phase extremely quickly.
If you don’t get parryable patterns, make sure to destroy bomb tars before they explode, or you might end up taking accidental damage if Molter manages to set the oil zones ablaze.
Phase shift:
For the second phase, the same aggressive approach is key to ending the fight quickly, and before Molter has the chance to creating hazardous fire zones. Parry the submerged charges with Charge Attacks, especially the final purple attack to upen up Molter to massive damage.

Defeat Reaper
Defeat Reaper for the first time.

Please refer to Dominate Reaper.

Conquer Reaper
Complete 5 Challenges related to Reaper.

Please refer to Dominate Reaper.

Dominate Reaper
Complete all Challenges related to Reaper.

Reaper is the fourth boss in NanoApostle. It fights with a combination of melee sequences, ranged attacks, and summons.
These are the ten challenges related to Reaper.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 4:00.
- Win the battle within 5:30.
These are the generic challenges related to Reaper, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough and reaching the second phase six times.
- Destroy 4 replicas with the scythe.
This is a two-step process. Reaper has an attack where it hurls scythes in an arc. If parried, the scythes will stay on the ground.
You then must wait for Reaper to summon replicas, and need to destroy these by hitting the scythes to hurl them at the replicas.
- Reflect multiple purple flame orbs and reveal 6 of the Reaper’s Destruction Points.
You can parry the purple orbs to reflect them back at Reaper. Note that this refers to the small purple orbs that Reaper shoots in groups, not to the single, bigger purple orb! The later one can be parried with a Charge Attack, but won’t reveal a destruction point.
- Escape the foggy area within 1:00.
Once during each of the two phases of the battle, Anita will be sent into a foggy area she needs to escape by hitting the three correct copies of Reaper. The layout for each phase is always the same, refer to the video footage below.
Note that by dealing enough damage to Reaper at the right time, this attack can be avoided entirely.
- Stop all of the Reaper’s death explosions and win the battle.
This will come naturally if you stay aggressive, as Reaper won’t have the time to cast them without being interrupted.
- Win without triggering Fear.
During the fight, you’ll notice a gauge next to your healing charges. The gauge is filled by getting caught in various of Reaper‘s attacks, most notably the tracking beam, and triggers Fear once full.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 2 times.
NanoApostle – Reaper [No Damage]
Reaper is a fast enemy that employs melee attacks at close range with deceptive delays, and has otherwise plenty of ranged options in its arsenal, including a unique Fear mechanic.
It is imperative to learn the parry timings of the melee attacks. Ideally, you want to stay close to Reaper at all times and force it to attack with its melee combos, which give you plenty of time to damage the boss. Otherwise, you will be dealing with all sorts of ranged attacks, which make it more difficult to complete the fight without taking damage.
If Reaper gets the chance to use its purple orb attack, make sure to reflect them back at the boss to reveal a Destruction Point.
Ideally, you’ll get pulled into the foggy realm with Reaper only one Charge Attack away from shifting phases.
Phase shift:
Note that the parry timings for the melee sequences change in the second phase, but these still provide the best opportunities to deal damage to Reaper.
During both phases, make sure to look out for the single purple sphere! If it catches you, it’ll open Anita up for a devastating grab attack.

Defeat Hunter
Defeat Hunter for the first time.

Please refer to Dominate Hunter.

Conquer Hunter
Complete 5 Challenges related to Hunter.

Please refer to Dominate Hunter.

Dominate Hunter
Complete all Challenges related to Hunter.

Hunter is the fifth boss in NanoApostle, and is a mobile boss that tries to create distance to fight with ranged attacks.
These are the ten challenges related to Hunter.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 4:30.
- Win the battle within 6:00.
These are the generic challenges related to Hunter, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough and reaching the second phase six times.
- Destroy 30 traps.
- Hack into the traps and paralyze the Hunter 12 times.
- Win without triggering any traps.
Hunter shoots multiple traps into the air, which activate a short time after landing. You can destroy them with melee hits, or hack into them by shooting them with your ranged attack. If hacked, they will briefly trap Hunter should it step into them.
- Stop the Hunter from self-repairing 8 times.
Hunter will jump away and attempt to self-repair. You can interrupt this process with melee attacks, dealing sufficient damage before the self-repair gauge is filled.
- Win without being attacked by Hunter while it is invisible.
This is possibly the hardest challenge to complete, though the wording is wrongly worded. Hunter will turn itself invisible during the second phase, and to complete the challenge, you cannot take damage while it remains in that state.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 3 times.
NanoApostle – Hunter [No Damage]
Hunter is the fifth boss in NanoApostle. It is a mobile boss that specialices in ranged attacks, often retreating to shoot traps or attempt to regenerate itself. This style forces constant repositioning.
In order to survive the fight without taking damage, you need to be constantly on Hunter‘s toes. Chase it down relentlessly, parrying its melee attack if used, and only backing off if you see an unparryable red attack coming. This will also allow you to interrupt the self-repairing attempts.
Destroy traps only if you need to, they are usually not worth the time loss / risk increase. As for dealing with the ranged attacks, make sure to dodge unparryable ranged shots to the side, not towards Hunter!
Phase shift:
Projectile density increases and traps start chaining with attacks, but the strategy doesn’t change. Despite Hunter now being invisible, you can still recognize incoming melee attacks by their glow, and time your parries accordingly.
The gaps in the arena might make it more difficult to close distance and reach Hunter before it can cast attacks that are more difficult to avoid, thus you might need a few attempts at the fight before you get good patterns.

Defeat Kurozan
Defeat Kurozan for the first time.

Please refer to Dominate Kurozan.

Conquer Kurozan
Complete 5 Challenges related to Kurozan.

Please refer to Dominate Kurozan.

Dominate Kurozan
Complete all Challenges related to Kurozan.

Kurozan is the sixth and final boss in NanoApostle, and an enemy that will test everything you’ve learned during the previous encounters.
These are the ten challenges related to Kurozan.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 3 times.
- Enter the Boss’s second phase 6 times.
- Win the battle within 5:00.
- Win the battle within 8:00.
- Parry 50 times.
- Hit a Destruction Point 20 times.
- Trigger Absorb 50 times.
These are the generic challenges related to Kurozan, which are achieved by defeating the boss quickly enough, reaching the second phase six times, and utilizing basic combat mechanics.
- Hack into the mines and have Kurozan trigger a mine 10 times.
As in the previous fights involving mines, you can hack into them by shooting them with your ranged attack. Lure Kurozan close to a hacked mine for it to trigger.
- Parry the ground smash slash with Charge Attacks 8 times.
The ground smash slash refers to the final attack in one of Kurozan‘s melee sequences, where it performs an overhead downward slash. Charge a Charge Attack while dodging the melee hits, then release it to parry the final slash.
- Win the battle while taking damage less than 3 times.
NanoApostle – Kurozan [No Damage]
Kurozan is the final boss of NanoApostle, and combines attacks and mechanics from all previous bosses: melee, ranged, AoE effects… It is also the only boss to feature three phases, and can be thus considered an endurance fight.
The main difficulty of the fight comes from the large array of attacks in Kurozan‘s arsenal, combined with the boss’ large health pool, making it difficult to finish the fight quickly regardless of Anita‘s damage output. It is thus imperative to learn Kurozan‘s attack patterns, knowing when to parry and when to back away, but trying to maintain a high pressure.
It can be a good idea to equip damage against Destruction Points, as there are multiple attacks that reveal one. For example, when Kurozan draws its sword and a green square starts pulsating under it, don’t attack or it will parry! Charge up a Charge Attack and for the Destruction Point to appear. You can also parry the ground smash slash with a Charge Attack to reveal a Destruction Point if you recognize it’s coming.
Another good opportunity to reveal a Destruction Point are ranged attacks; in particular, Kurozan will always follow up its drone attack (where tracking drones charge at Anita) and the unparryable harpoon attack with a five-projectile ranged attack in a spread pattern. Parrying the spread attack reveals a Destruction Point.
While you can parry Kurozan‘s ground smashes, an AoE effect will be added during the second phase, and they will turn unparryable, so don’t get used to blindly parrying them and dodge away instead.
Phase shifts:
During the second and third phases, Kurozan‘s attack chains change slightly. The harpoon and drone attacks have more projectiles, the ground smash now gains an AoE effect, melee chains have different timings… Keep looking for openings similar to the first phase, exploiting the many opportunities to damage Destruction Points to deal massive damage. Do not panic during the third phase; this is the final stretch, and while Kurozan is absolutely wild here, it has a very small health pool!
